    The third largest diamond ever found, "The Star of Sierra Leone", was put on public show in London on Friday (30 June) by the High Commissioner of Sierra Leone, Dr. Davidson Nicol.

    The diamond, which measures two-and-half by one-and-half inches (5.35 x 3.81 centimetres), and weighs half-a-pound (.22 kilograms) will go on sale in July.

    The stone is expected to fetch over one million pounds Sterling in its uncut state.

    When the diamond want on show, Peter Stewart of the British Broadcasting Corporation discussed the stone's value with the High Commissioner.
