    Officials of the self-styled Bangladesh administration in East Pakistan, who had taken refuge in India from the Pakistan army, began to return to Dacca on the 18th of December, first full day of peace after the India-Pakistan war.

    They were given a warm welcome by waiting crowds, as were a number of senior officers of the Indian army who also flew in, led by General Sarkar.

    The group of Bangladesh officials included Mr. Abdul Khaliq, a former Inspector-General of police now designated as the Bangladesh administration's Inspector-General of Police.
