    Soviet Leaders including President Podgorny, Party Secretary Brezhnev and Prime Minister Kosygin were among the mass turn-out of voters in U.S.S.R. today (June 13) in the elections for the Supreme Soviet - the ruling body. This film, showing them casting their ballots, was specially transhipped to London by Moscow Television for a speedy service.

    SYNOPSIS: Moscow, Sunday - and elections for the Soviet Union's ruling council, the Supreme Soviet. Top Soviet leaders who joined the electorate in voting included Prime Minister Alexei Kosygin.

    The Communist Party Leader, Chairman Leonid Brezhnev, was also there to cast his ballot. In the election, all Soviet citizens over the age of 18 are eligible to vote. Many did, including three Soviet cosmonauts orbiting in space, who radioed their votes back to earth.

    Soviet President Nikolai Podgorny voted, as did former Soviet Party Communist Chief Nikita Khrushchev but Mr Khrushchev, now aged 77, stayed shy of the television cameras According to reports from Moscow, the polling went smoothly.
