    France-- President De Gaulle spent April 27th in the department of the Aube on the sixth day of his tour of the north-eastern departments of France.

    The president is seen passing through the village of Wassy and at Bar-sur-Aube where he received the most enthusiastic reception of his tour and where he made a speech in which he once again asserted France's need of an independent nuclear deterrent.He said:
    "We do not wish to be proteges or satellites......We want to have in our own hands the means to dissuade anyone whatsoever from attacking us."
    The president is seen at the little village of Magny where he congratulated two young couples who had married that morning.
