    A group of fifteen American teachers visited Abidjan University yesterday (Tuesday) as part of their three-week visit to the Ivory Coast to study African culture.

    The teachers, all of whom specialise in French, had already visited Paris and Ghana in search of historical and educational background. The trip's organised by the American Forum for International Study.

    During their stay, the teachers were scheduled to attend conferences and lectures, visit public buildings including the Presidential Palace, and tour factories and development schemes. They leave Abidjan on Friday (July 24th) for a seven-day visit to the country's interior.

    At Abidjan University they were greeted by the Secretary, Madame Sangare, who also addressed them on the subject of higher education in the Ivory Coast.
