    PEACE CAMPAIGNERS MARCHED TODAY (FRIDAY) IN BRITAIN'S TRADITIONAL "BAN THE BOMB" WALK FROM ALDERMASTON, ENGLAND. CLERGYMEN, FOLXSINGERS, SOCIALIST MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT AND BEARDED HIPPIES ARE TAKING PART IN THE FOUR-DAY MARCH FROM ALDERMASTON, IN SOUTHERN ENGLAND, TO LONDON.

    THE EASTER MARCH FROM ALDERMASTON, A RESEARCH STATION FOR ATOMIC WEAPONS, WAS ONCE THE BIGGEST MASS DEMONSTRATION OF THE YEAR IN BRITAIN, DRAWING TENS OF THOUSANDS OF SUPPORTERS. BUT FOUR YEARS AGO IT WAS ABANDONED AMID FACTION QUARRELS, AND WAS NOT RESUMED UNTIL TODAY.

    THE CAMPAIGN FOR NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT (CND) REVIVED THE MARCH. SOME 2,000 ANTI-NUCLEAR DEMONSTRATORS TOOK PART, CARRYING BANNERS CALLING FOR A VIETNAM PEACE, BRITISH WITHDRAWAL FROM NATO AND THE SCRAPPING OF BRITAIN'S POLARIS MISSILE-ARMED SUBMARINES.

    AT THE HEAD OF THE LINE OF MARCHERS TODAY WAS 63-YEAR-OLD VETERAN CAMPAIGNER CANON JOHN COLLINS OF ST. PAULS CATHEDRAL, LONDON. CANON COLLINS WILL CALL FOR VIETNAM PEACE AT A RALLY AT THE END OF THE LONG TREK ON MONDAY, IN LONDON'S TRAFALGAR SQUARE.
