    The Queen on March 20 visited one of the most remote parts of Australia - Koolan Island, off the coast of Western Australia.The entire population of neighbouring Cockatoo Island went to Koolan Island to see the Queen.The Britannia and her escort, H.M.A.S AnZac, sailed 500 miles south-west from Darwin to reach Koolan Island.The Royal barge brought the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh to shore in searing heat.The Royal couple were taken for a tour of the island's beauty spots.Then they visited the iron ore deposits which provide a livelihood for its 250 people.Everyone was at the island's school for a civic welcome.The Queen was wearing an emerald silk dress and hat and low-heeled shoes.
