    THE ISRAELI CABINET MET IN JERUSALEM TODAY (SUNDAY) TO DECIDE WHAT ACTION IT SHOULD TAKE FOLLOWING ARAB ATTACKS ON AN EL AL AIRLINER AT ZURICH, AND AGAINST A JERUSALEM SUPERMARKET LAST WEEK.

    THE MEETING WAS HELD AT THE HOME OF PRIME MINISTER LEVI ESHKOL, WHO IS CONVALESCING FROM A BRONCHIAL ILLNESS. A BRIEF COMMUNIQUE AFTER THE MEETING DID NOT SAY WHAT ACTION ISRAEL WOULD TAKE. A GOVERNMENT SPOKESMAN SAID THAT THE FOREIGN MINISTER, MR. ABBA EBAN HAD TOLD HIS COLLEAGUES THAT THE ARAB ATTACKS WERE COMMITTED 'WITH THE SUPPORT OF ARAB GOVERNMENTS AND THAT THESE ACTS 'ENTITLED ISRAEL TO ACT IN SELF DEFENCE AND REACT AGAINST MEMBERS OF THESE GANGS AS SHE SAW FIT.'
    THE TRANSPORT MINISTER, MR. MOSHE CARMEL TOLD THE MEETING THAT THE DAMAGE TO THE EL AL BOEING 720B ATTACKED AT ZURICH WAS EXPECTED TO BE ABOUT GBP30,000 STERLING. THE AIRLINER WILL BE BACK IN SERVICE WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

    (TWO PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND NINE INJURED IN THE JERUSALEM BOMB EXPLOSION AT THE SUPERSOL SUPERMARKET ON FRIDAY.)
