    French, British, Dutch, German, and Spanish troops gathered 40,000 strong at Lourdes today to attend a military pilgrimage. 25,000 of them are lodged in the Giraud camp, where organisation is so neat that 16,000 warm and nourishing drinks may be served in one hour. The camp of 683 tents uses 7 tons of bread a day.

    Among those present at this pilgrimage were Marshall M Juin, Monseigneur Stevens of B.A.O.R., Monseigneur Navy the British Chaplain-general, and Monseigneur Van Staelen the Dutch Chaplain-general.

    After arrival at the Lourdes Station Marshal Juin and Cardinal Feltin, Archbishop of Paris, attended a Mass at the Grotto.
