Background: A brand new hangar has been built in Vancouver to accommodate the Canadian Pacific's Britannia which is setting up a new standard of travel - non-stop - between Vancouver and London. The Britannia is the largest 'plane to operate from the airport and as such needed the new hangar for efficient servicing. The official opening of the hangar was attended by Mr. Peter Masefield, Managing Director of the Bristol Aircraft Corporation. The new CPA hangar, opened on February 22, cost 1.4 million dollars.
