Background: More than fifty bodies have been recovered form the rubble of eighteen blocks in the farming town of San Justo, Argentina...hit by a tornado on Wednesday (10 Jan).
Winds of up to 125-miles-per hour (200 kph) tore down houses, shops and an hotel.
More than 300 of the town's 11,000 inhabitants were injured...some seriously enough to die later in hospital.
SYNOPSIS: This rubble is part of the Argentine farming town of san Justo, which was hit by a tornado with one-hundred-and-twenty-five-mile-an-hour winds on Wednesday.
The tornado swept an eighteen block area, toppling buildings and crushing cars like eggshells.
The terror lasted barely three minutes. But in that about time, at least fifty people died and another three hundred were injured ....many of them fatally.
Police and rescue workers continued to search the rubble as it was believed more bodies were probably buried underneath it. As the search continued, survivors had tales of horror to tell. Some told of relatives being plucked into the air by the giant wind and being crushed against houses. A big relief operation for San Justo is underway.
