    Vice-President Nicholas Makarezos said Greece favoured economic co-operation between all peoples but would not tolerate unfair treatment by the great powers, when he opened the 38th International Trade Fair at Salonika in Greece on Saturday (September 1st).

    After attending a religious ceremony with his fellow Vice-President, Mr. Stylianos Pattakos, Mr. Makarezos visited the Czechoslovakian, Bulgarian and Israeli pavilions. They are among the 33 countries exhibiting at the fair, which lasts until September 23rd.

    President Papadopoulos was unable to attend because he was detained by political activities in Athens. He has been having frequent meetings with Mr. Spyros Markezinis, who is expected to be sworn in as the first Prime Minister of the recently declared Greek Republic.
