    A cargo of twenty-six pythons and several other venomous snakes, three tree-climbing kangaroos, a wallaby and two cus-cuses, a genus of marsupial quadrupeds found in new Guinea, arrived in Sydney February 5 oh board the M.V. "Malaita".

    There were also several crown of thorns star-fish, small multi-coloured tropical fish, coral sea-snakes, all of which have gone to the Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney. Specially trapped in the wilds of New Guinea, the animal s have been sent to the Melbourne Zoo.

    The sea-snakes were caught by Mr. Bruce Laird a member of the crew of the "Malaita" who makes a hobby of catching the snakes, and then giving them to the Taronga Park Zoo.

    Mr. Chick Cody head keeper of Taronga Park Zoo took delivery of the new Guinea echidna. This echidna differs from the Australian variety, - it has a longer snout and spines covered by fur.

    The cus-cus like an popossum has enormous eyes.
