Background: The Prime Minister of Yugoslavia, Mr. Bijedic, has been on a visit to New Zealand.

He had talks with New Zealand's Prime Minister Mr. Kirk, who has accepted an invitation to visit Yugoslavia. The two leaders also agreed on attempts to increase trade between their respective countries.

During his visit, Mr. Bijedic paid a day-long visit to a vineyard at Henderson, west of Auckland. The vineyard is one of many established and run by ex Yugoslavian immigrants, and although guarded by security men after threats on his life, Mr. Bijedic spent an enjoyable day sampling the local food and wines.

SYNOPSIS: The Prime Minister of Yugoslavia, Mr. Bijedic, has paid a visit to New Zealand. He met the New Zealand Prime Minister, Mr. Kirk, and the two leaders agreed on plans to increase trade between their respective countries.

But in addition to affairs of State, Mr. Bijedic spent a pleasant day at the Auckland suburb of Henderson. Many former Yugoslavs have settled in this area, and the early arrivals established fine vineyards.

After arriving at the vineyard, the Prime Minister listened to a speech of welcome, and, surrounded by his former countrymen, relaxed quickly. The hosts turned out in traditional costumes and a small band helped the general air of festivity.

It was a time of obvious enjoyment for Mr. Bijedic.....a smile hardly left his face as the day went on, and before long the food, carefully cooked over an open fire, was served and a banquet in the sun began.

But it wasn't a holiday for everyone...Mr. Bijedic is under a threat of death from international terrorists, so security men and police were close at hand the whole time.

At the end of the visit, it was announced that New Zealand's Prime Minister is to visit Yugoslavia.
