  • Description

As the South African Government decreed "shoot to kill" orders to the Army and police Apl 2, protests against the South African Government continued unabated in many countries. In Holland at the Hague 800 demonstrators, mainly Protestants and Catholics, marched through the city with banners: "One People, One Mankind," "Black and White Together," "Against Apartheid."
New South African Government decrees aimed at "preventing or suppressing internal disorders" included the mobilisation of all units of the Citizen Force - Territorials with military training - to assist the Army, Navy and Air Force in the task of supporting the police.
