  • Description

The three-man crew of Apollo-15--who last July became the fourth team to land on the moon--arrived today (Sunday) on a three-day visit to Britain, primarily to meet the scientific community.

SYNOPSIS: A propeller-powered aircraft made a soft landing at London Airport on Sunday, carrying three men who last July made a half-million mile journey to the moon and back powered by the most advanced rockets of the space age.

Apollo-15 astronauts david Scott, Alfred Worden and James Irwin arrived in London for a three-day visit to Britain, their mission being to speak to the scientific community, show colour film and slides and answer penetrating questions.
