Raw materials that are needed for smelting metal are near at hand - the iron ore comes from the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly and coal from Donbass. The stool is smelted in oxygen converters and electric furnaces and is transported from there to instalments of perpetual pouring. The Novo-Lipetsk enterprise attracts the attention of metallurgists from all lands. Specialists from Iran study the methods of work of Lipetsk masters. A unique rolling mill "2000" is in operation at the Nove-Lipetsk plant. Steel is rolled here for -large diameter gas pipes, steel sheets for ship-building, for agricultural and other technology. These clever machines now perform the hard manual work of man. Soon Indian engineers will operate such installations in Bakaro, where India is building a metallurgical plant with the assistance of the Soviet Union.
