Tennis...and Raul Ramirez of Mexico, the fifth seed. beat unranked Tomas Smid of Czechoslovakia 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 in the final of the World Championship Tennis (WCT) 1750,000 dollar Grand Prix on Sunday (16 April). The victory earned the Mexican revenge for the clay court defeat Smid inflicted on him in the first round of the 1976 Italian championship when he was defending champion.
