THREE STATES - GUINEA, MALI AND TANZANIA HAVE WALKED OUT OF THE MINISTERIAL MEETING OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AFRICAN UNITY IN ADDIS ABABA. THEY WERE PROTESTING OVER THE CONFERENCE DECISION TO ALLOW THE NEW GHANAIAN GOVERNMENT TO BE REPRESENTED.

AT THE START OF THE CONFERENCE, DISCUSSION OF RHODESIA, THE MAIN ITEM ON THE AGENDA, WAS HELD UP WHILE DELEGATES DECIDED WHETHER TO RECOGNISE THE DELEGATION SENT BY GHANA'S NEW MILITARY GOVERNMENT. THEY DECIDED TO ADMIT MR. SEDDOH, WHO IS LEADING THE DELEGATION. BUT MALI, GUINEA AND TANZANIA HAVE NOW LEFT THE CONFERENCE IN A GESTURE OF SOLIDARITY WITH DR. NKRUMAH, THE DEPOSED GHANAIAN LEADER.

AFTER THE WALK-OUT, THE CHAIRMAN SAID IT WAS REGRETTABLE THAT THE DELEGATIONS HAD FOUND IT NECESSARY TO LEAVE, AND THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED.
