    The Sierra Leone Parliament met in an emergency session on Wednesday to hear Prime Minister Siaka Stevens report on what he described as the explosive situation in the country.

    Dr. Stevens referred to the abortive coup and attempt on his life last week, and said he had found it necessary to sign an agreement with the Guinea Government for troops to help the Sierra Leone army. Guinean troops were among those surrounding the House of Representative when Dr. Stevens arrived for the emergency session.

    Members condemned the abortive coup and attempt on the Premier's life, and called on the Government to take steps to halt violence in the country.
