    President Houari Boumedienne of Algeria visited the heads of state of Morocco and Mauritania this week after last week summit meeting in Mauritania.

    President Boumedienne, King Hassan of Morocco and President Moktar Ould Daddah met in Nouakchott, Mauritania last week to discuss the future of the Spanish Sahara.

    After his four-day official visit to Mauritania following the summit meeting, President Boumedienne made a 24 hour stop-over yesterday (20 September) in Morocco to discuss the situation in the Middle-East also the results of the tri-partite summit meeting.

    In a joint communique issued after the meeting last night the two heads of state launched "an urgent appeal to the parties directly concerned to act with a view to end the dramatic situation in Jordan."
    The communique continued: "While deploring the bloodshed between Arab brothers, they reaffirm their total supports for the Palestine resistance and renew their possible to any liquidation of the Palestine resistance of cause."
    Previously in Mauritania, President Boumedienne had held discussions with President Daddah on their common policies and problems. It was understood that the two heads of state reached general agreement on all matters.

    President Ould Daddah visited Algeria during the summer of 1967 and spent his last vacation there at the invitation of the Algerian President.
