ROBERTO ARIAS OUT OF STROKE MANDEVILLE HOSPITAL IN ENGLAND WHERE HE HAS BEEN SINCE JULY, 1964. DR. ARIAS HAS BEEN UNDERGOING TREATMENT AT THE HOSPITAL SINCE HE WAS INVOLVED IN A SHOOTING INCIDENT IN PANAMA TWENTY MONTHS AGO. HE IS STILL PARALYSED FORM THE WAIST DOWN, BUT CAN NOW LEAVE THE HOSPITAL.

    FROM THE HOSPITAL, THE COUPLE HAVE GONE TO THE HOME OF DAME MARGOT FONTEYN'S MOTHER IN LONDON WHERE THEY WILL BE STAYING FOR THE TIME BEING. DAME MARGOT'S MOTHER, MRS H. HOOKHAM, TOLD NEWSMEN RECENTLY THAT DR. ARIAS WAS MUCH BETTER AND "WE HOPE IN TIME HE WILL BE WALKING AGAIN."
    DR. ARIES - SON OF A FORMER PANAMANIAN PRESIDENT - WAS WOUNDED IN A STREET ARGUMENT IN PANAMA CITY. IT IS ALLEGED HE WAS SHOT BY A FORMER POLITICAL ASSOCIATES, SENOR ALBERTO JIMINEZ. DR. ARIAS IS A FORMER PANAMANIAN AMBASSADOR TO LONDON.
