    Outside St John's Cathedral - ministers arrive for mass.



    Arrival of Deputy Prime Minister Dr Anton Buttigieg (crowd cheering, applause)



    Arrival Opposition leader Dr Borg Oliver (booing, angry crowd)



    Ministers leave cathedral - some walk, some drive to Parliament building for inauguration of parliament for first time since General Election. Huge crowds cheer, shout, push, boo ministers. All government members of parliament are loudly cheered. Opposition members are treated very badly-crowd breaks through police cordon and runs after ministers. TUMULTUOUS SCENES as crowd moves to Parliament building where Members of Parliament assemble.

    At Parliament building. Ministers leaving after parliament session and before the Governor General's speech. This sequence at start of roll 2 includes the Prime Minister Mr Mintoff in shirt sleeves.
