    Pro Bangla Desh demonstrators painted their faces with to resemble death masks and picketed the White House in Washington yesterday pictures of starving East Pakistan refugees, were protesting that America continued to sell arms to the Pakistan Government--which was using the arms to hold down the Bangla Desh movement. Police were on the scene, but there was little trouble.

    SYNOPSIS: In Washington on Thursday pro-Bangla Desh demonstrators marches on the White House. They carried drums, banners and placards with picture of starving East Pakistan refugees--and had their faces painted white to resemble death masks.

    They were confronted by police when they reached the gates of the White House, but little trouble took place. The demonstrators were protesting that the American Government was continuing to sell arms to the Pakistan Government--which was using them to hold down the Bangla Desh movement in East Pakistan. Stopped by police from going any further, the demonstrators picketed the White House gates by marching round in circles in a funeral-like procession.
