The Tunisian Foreign Minister, Mr. Mohammed Masmoudi, arrived in Jordan on Saturday (November 18th) on the first stage of a tour of three Arab countries.
He was met at Amman airport by his counterpart, Jordan Foreign Minister Mr. Abdullah Salah, and the Jordanian Prime Minister, Mr. Wasfi Tell. Mr. Bahi Ladgham, the former Prime Minister of Tunisia and now chairman of the Arab committee mediating between the Jordanian Government and the Palestine Guerrillas, was also there.
Mr. Masmoudi delivered an undisclosed message from Tunisian President Habib Bourguiba to King Hussein. On his arrival from Beirut, he said he would acquaint himself with the situation in the region following recent developments. He expressed regret over clashes in Jordan.
While in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, the two other countries on his tour programme, Mr. Masmoudi will deliver similar personal messages from President Bourguiba to the heads of state there.
