    Sheikh Khalifeh Ben Salman Al-Khalifeh, the Bahrainian Prime Minister who was on a three day visit to Jordan, met King Hussein and Prince Hassan, at the Royal Palace in Amman on Sunday (21 December).

    Sheikh Khalifeh was invited to Jordan by the Jordanian Prime Minister, Mr. Zeid Al-Rifai, for talks on strengthening relations and co-operation between the two countries.

    Jordan supported Bahrain after it gained independence, by sending teachers, agricultural engineers and army officers.

    Sheikh Khalifeh also visited important centres in Jordan like the Hussein Medical City, Jordan University and the Royal Scientific Society.

    He was accompanied on his three day visit by several of his top ministers.

    SYNOPSIS: The Royal Palace in Amman where King Hussein and Crown Prince Hassan welcomed the Bahrainian Prime Minister, Sheikh Khalifeh on Sunday during a three-day visit to Jordan.

    Relations between the two countries date back to many years ... and when Bahrain gained independence, Jordan was among the first countries to offer aid.

    Sheikh Khalifeh was invited to Jordan by Prime Minister Zeid Al-Rifai for talks on strengthening these relations. The Bahrainian Prime Minister was accompanied by several of his top ministers. Between talks, he visited important centres in Jordan including the Hussein Medical City, Jordan University and the Royal Scientific Society. Sheikh Khalifeh also had a chance to see the rapid strides being made by Jordan in its housing projects.
