Background: Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat arrived in Abu Dhabi today on a 24-hour visit to the UAE.

UAE President H. H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan and Member of the Federal Supreme Council were at the airport to receive President Sadat. The distinguished guest was warmly received by H. H. Sheikh Zayed. A 21 gun salute was given in his honour while the National Anthems of the two countries were played, the two leaders inspected the Guard of - Honour. After Saluting those who came to greet him, President Sadat left for El Mushrif Palace where he will reside during his visit.

H. H. Sheikh Zayed give a dinner banquet in honour of President Sadat and the accompanying delegation, this evening in El Butain Palace. The banquet will be attended by Members of the Federal Supreme Council and Senior Officials.

Official talks between the two Leaders starts tonight and will deal with bilateral relations, as well as Arab issues.
