IN A VIGOROUS SPEECH, HE CLAIMED THE REACTOR - INDONESIA'S SECOND - WOULD BE THE LARGEST IN SOUTHEAST ASIA. IT'S DUE TO BE COMPLETED NEXT YEAR.

THE PROJECT IS BEING CARRIED THROUGH WITH RUSSIAN AID, AND AMONG THE DISTINGUISHED VISITORS PRESENT AT THE CEREMONY, WAS THE RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR, MR. MICHAILOV.

IN HIS SPEECH, PRESIDENT SUKARNO IS REPORTED TO HAVE STATED THAT INDONESIA'S WITHDRAWAL FROM THE U.N. DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT WILL GO TO WAR. BUT IF ATTACKED, INDONESIA WILL STRIKE BACK. HE CLAIMED THAT THE REACTOR WAS PROOF OF THE PROGRESS OF THE INDONESIAN REVOLUTION, AND THE CLOSE CO-OPERATION THAT EXISTS BETWEEN INDONESIA AND THE SOVIET UNION.
