Italian tanker "Nonnougo" was anchored in Portoros Bay/a major summer resort near Koper Fort and near Trieste/, when a gale of about 7 Beauforts cut it from anchor and the tanker slowly f???oate away to coast between Savudria resort and Portoros and hit to co??? It happened March 8. The crew of "Nonnougo", a tanker based in Pal Italy, was unable/or whatever happened/to start engines and s??? it back to ???ty. So it hit co???t. This happened during the night early in March 8, the came day Yugoslav remarker, tug, "Silni" ??? mude an attempt to tug it from the rock, afterwards also Italian "???stor" and "Riger" tried to tug it off unsuccessfully, or bad skilled/or not really wanted it to tug it away/. The "Monnougo" crew left the tanker and the engines were flooded. The tanker the stayed there while negotiations between Italian and Yugoslav aut???ties were going on. Yugoslav prise for r???ccuing work, said Italia was to high, so they declined it. And so "Nonnougo" still stays where it hit the rock. Fortunately it has no oil in its b???ds, ??? the oil needed for engines/about 20 tons/, but also this oil damage turisticaly most important waters about Porioroz seaside resort. While the negotiations still going on, Yugoslav authorities are preparing to isolate or empty the engine tanks and saw the tanker and sell it as old iron.
