Background: Thousands of Ford workers today voted to continue their strike which has already lasted seven weeks and cost the company more than 90 million pounds. The decision came only 24 hours after the Ford chief, Mr. Henry Ford arrived from America and told newsmen he didn't envisage further investment by his company in Britain. The 50,000 Ford workers are demanding rises of up to 50 percent which they say are needed to bring them up to the levels of other British motor plants.
