THROUGHOUT THE DAY, MR. WILSON AND MR. BROWN HAD TALKS WITH LEADING MEMBERS OF THE ITALIAN GOVERNMENT, WHO PROMISE SUPPORT FOR BRITAIN'S ENTRY INTO THE COMMON MARKET.

    MR. WILSON AND MR. BROWN ARE VISITING ALL SIX COUNTRIES IN THE COMMON MARKET FOR TALKS WITH HEADS OF GOVERNMENT AIMED AT EVALUATING THE PROSPECTS OF BRITISH ENTRY INTO EUROPE.

    THEY ARE FLYING BACK TO LONDON TONIGHT (TUESDAY) BEFORE MAKING VISITS TO PARIS, BRUSSELS, LUXEMBOURG, BONN AND THE HAUGE DURING THE NEXT SIX WEEKS.

    THE BRITISH PRIME MINISTER AND FOREIGN SECRETARY WERE ALSO RECEIVED IN AUDIENCE TODAY BY THE POPE. THEY WERE SAID TO HAVE DISCUSSED THE VIETNAM SITUATION.
