    FILMED HERE ABOUT 400 STUDENTS DEMONSTRATED AT KIMPO AIRPORT AS THEY AWAITED THE ARRIVAL OF CHONG PIL KIM, CHAIRMAN OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLICAN PARTY, WHO WAS RECALLED FROM JAPAN WHERE HE HAD BEEN HEADING THE KOREAN PARTY TO THE TALKS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES.

    THE STUDENTS ATTEMPTED TO RUN ON TO THE AIRPORT TO PRESS THEIR DEMANDS TO CHONG PIL KIM TO STOP WHAT THEY TERMED THIS "SELL OUT DIPLOMACY TO JAPAN". HOWEVER POLICE HEADED OFF THE DEMONSTRATORS AND THERE WERE FEW CLASHES.

    THE STUDENTS THEN SAT DOWN OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT FOR THREE HOURS, WHILE OTHER DEMONSTRATIONS WERE HELD IN MANY PARTS OF THE CITY.

    WHEN MR. KIM ARRIVED HE WAS MET BY A SMALL WELCOMING GROUP OF MEMBERS OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. MR. KIM MADE A BRIEF SPEECH AND THEN DROVE TO THE BLUE HOUSE, THE PRESIDENTIAL RESIDENCE, TO SEE PRESIDENT PARK.
