    President Mobutu Sese Seko of Zaire was host to Presidents Kenneth Kaunda of Zambie and Julius Nyerere of Tanzania at his residence in Kananga, Zaire when the three Heads of State met for a tripartite conference on Sunday (6 April).

    The main topic of the conference was the development of a common strategy between the three countries to accelerate the process of decolonisation of southern Africa.

    President Kaunda recently declared that 1975 would be a decisive year in the history of the deconolisation of southern African countries at present under foreign domination.

    On the previous day Saturday (5 April) President Mobutu welcomed Madame Nguyen Thi Bihn, Foreign Minister of the Provisional Government of South Vietnam, who visited him for extensive talks which lasted over three hours.

    A communique was published after the talks, in which the Republic of Zaire recognized the Provisional Revolutionary Government of South Vietnam as the only representative of the Vietnamese people.

    Madame Binh was with President Mobutu when he greeted President Kaunda on his arrival in Zaire.
