  • Description

In Iran there are signs of dissatisfaction with the new regime on the eve of the national referendum. The referendum has been called by the Ayatollah Khomeini, and it is seen as the first step towards an Islamic Republic. But some disappointment is being voiced about the lack of freedom which has followed the revolution. Fariborz Atapour -- a journalist for the Teheran Journal -- whose father was one of the Shah's Generals arrested earlier this month, expressed his dissatisfaction in an interview over the way certain repressive practices seem to have been carried on by the Islamic government.
