    INDONESIA, MALAYSIA AND THE PHILIPPINES HAVE AGREED TO SUBMIT TOMORROW, (SUNDAY), INDIVIDUAL PROPOSALS FOR SOLVING THE DISPUTE OVER MALAYSIA. THE ANNOUNCEMENT FOLLOWED THE THIRD DAY OF TALKS BETWEEN THE FOREIGN MINISTERS OF THE THREE COUNTRIES IN BANGKOK.

    THE PEACE CONFERENCE, HELD ON THE URGING OF THE UNITED STATES ATTORNEY-GENERAL MR. ROBERT KENNEDY, AIMS AT PAVING THE WAY FOR A SUMMIT MEETING TO END THE DISPUTE OVER MALAYSIA.

    THE MAIN POINTS AT ISSUE IN THE PRESENT TALKS ARE RECOGNITION OF MALAYSIA BY BOTH THE PHILIPPINES AND INDONESIA, THE FUTURE OF INDONESIAN-BACKED FORCES IN SABAH, (NORTH BORNEO), AND THE PRESENCE OF BRITISH TROOPS IN MALAYSIA. MALAYSIA WILL ALSO HOLD PRIVATE BILATERAL TALKS WITH THE PHILIPPINES WHICH HAS A CLAIM ON SABAH.

    IN RESPONSE TO REPORTERS QUESTIONS ALL THREE FOREIGN MINISTERS AGREED THE E HAD BEEN PROGRESS DURING THE CURRENT TALKS AND STATED THAT THEY COULD DEFINITELY LEAD TO A SUMMIT MEETING BETWEEN THE HEADS OF THE THREE STATES.
