    GHANA'S NEW AMBASSADOR, MR. SAMUEL JULIUS OBIANIM, IS TO RESIDE IN KINSHANA, WHERE HE IS ALSO ACCREDITED.

    ADDRESSING PRESIDENT TOMALBAYE,MR. OBIANIN SAID THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN GHANA AND CHAD WAS STRENGTHENED BY THEIR MUTUAL DETERMINATION TO AID CAUSE OF AMERICAN UNITY.

    IN REPLY, THE PRESIDENT SPOKE OF THE SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT OF SOME FORMER COLONIAL TERRITORIES BUT SAID THAT BRUTAL AND RACIALISTIC COLONIALISM WAS STILL BEING ENFORCED IN SOUTH AFRICA, RHODESIA, MOZAMBIQUE AND ANGOLA TO THE DETRIMENT OF THOUSANDS OF AFRICA PATRIOTS.

    ISRAEL'S NEW AMBASSADOR, MR. OVADIA SOFER, TOLD PRESIDENT TOMALBAYE THAT RELATIONS BETWEEN HIS COUNTRY AND CHAD HAD BEEN ON MOST FRIENDLY TERMS FOR MANY YEARS, PARTICULARLY FOLLOWING THE PRESIDENT'S VISIT TO ISRAEL IN 1965. A HAPPY CO-OPERATION HAD ARISEN, INSPIRED BY MUTUAL PRINCIPLES OF JUSTICE, SOCIAL PROGRESS AND HUMAN DIGNITY.

    THE PRESIDENT TOLD MR. SOFER THAT THE FRIENDSHIP WAS RECIPROCAL AND THAT ALTHOUGH ISRAEL WAS ESSENTIALLY A YOUNG STATE, ITS PROGRESS HAD BEEN RAPID AND REMARKABLE.
