One thing marred Leeds' moment of glory: an injury to Jones in the last minute. Although it was feared e had broken his let arm he had it bandaged to his side and walked up to collect his Cup-winner's medal from Queen Elizabeth, who had already presented the coveted Cup to Leeds captain Billy Bremner.

Jones was then carried from the stadium on a stretcher.

For Loads, Clarke headed a cross from Lorimer against the Arsenal crossbow one minute from the interval, and Lorimer hit an upright with a powerful drive in the 84th minute. For Arsenal, Alan Ball best the Leeds goalkeeper with a host, only to see full-back Paul Reaney kick off the line; and Charlie george--scorer of Arsenal's winning goal in extra time against Liverpool in last year's Cup Final-crashed a shot against the cross-bar in the 69th minute.

The win leaves Leeds needing only to win heir final League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday (May 8) to win the First Division title, and match Arsenal's Cup and League "Double" of last season.
