    ON MONDAY (FEB 1), WHEN SHE WAS CRUISING AT A SPEED OF 25 KNOTS AGAINST A STRONG WIND ABOUT 50 MILES EAST OF SINGAPORE, A MEMBER OF HER CREW, DEREK BOYD OF NEWCASTLE ON TYNE, WAS BLOWN OVERBOARD FROM THE FLIGHT DECK INTO THE SHARK-INFESTED SEA.AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT, HER JET PLANES WERE ALSO WARMING UP BEFORE TAKING OFF FOR A SHORT AIR EXERCISE.

    AN AIR-SEA RESCUE HELICOPTER FROM THE SHIP WAS SENT OUT TO PICK HIM OUT OF THE CHOPPY SEA; HE WAS IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT BACK TO THE SICK BAY OF THE SHIP FOR TREATMENT.
