    LIEUTENANT GENERAL ANKRAH, CHAIRMAN OF GHANA'S RULING NATIONAL LIBERATION COUNCIL ON MONDAY (23 SEPTEMBER) VISITED THE WEST GERMAN NAVAL TRAINING SHIP, DEUTSCHLAND, AT TEMA HARBOUR, 18 MILES (32 KMS) EAST OF ACCRA.

    GENERAL ANKRAH WAS WELCOMED ON HIS ARRIVAL BY THE WEST GERMAN AMBASSADOR TO GHANA, MR. HELMUT MULLER. HE WAS THEN TAKEN ON A TOUR OF THE VESSEL BY ITS COMMANDER, CAPTAIN KARL PETER.

    INCLUDED ON THE GENERAL'S ITINERARY WAS A VISIT TO THE SHIP'S HOSPITAL WHERE HE WISHED THE PATIENTS A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

    THE 4,850-TON DEUTSCHLAND, WITH A CREW OF 28 OFFICERS AND 472 MEN DOCKED AT TEMA ON FRIDAY (20 SEPTEMBER) FOR A FIVE-DAY OFFICIAL VISIT TO GHANA.
