    The Syrian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Abdul Halim Khaddam arrived in Kuwait on Monday on a six-day state visit to Kuwait, at the invitation of the Kuwait Foreign Minister, Shaikh Subah Al Ahmad. This is official film of the arrival at the airport.

    Mr. Khaddam was carrying with him a special message to the Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Subah As-Salem As-Subah from his brother the Syrian President Mr. Hafex Al-Assad. Among the leading Kuwaitis at the airport to greet Mr. Khaddam were Foreign Minister Shaikh Subah Al- Ahmad, Minister of Finance and oil and Mr. Abdul Rahman Attiqi , and the Head for the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic development Mr. Abdul Latif Hamad.

    Mr. Khaddam expressed his hope that his visit would help to strengthen the ties between Syria and Kuwait for the benefit of the whole Arab nation.
