    In their continuing search and destroy mission against previously identified VietCOng strongholds the U. S. Army's armed helicopters are adding to the firepower and mobility of units in the Republic of Viet Nam.

    Armed with machine guns and rockets, these aircraft participate in daily combat assault mission. The pilots and gunners are writing new pages into the history of Army aviation. Current helicopter operations in the Republic of Viet Nam will soon be augmented by the st Cavalry Division (Air Mobile) which will assume a similar role.
