    THE SOLID FUEL ROCKET CHAMBER -- THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD -- HAS BEEN PUT TOGETHER IN SECTIONS TO FORM A ROCKET MOTOR CASE 60 FEET LONG, MORE THAN 23 FEET IN DIAMETER AND WEIGHING 94 TONS.

    SEVERAL ROCKET MOTORS OF THIS SIZE COULD BE CLUSTERED TOGETHER TO PROVIDE BOOSTER POWER FOR SPACE FLIGHTS WITH PAYLOADS FAR GREATER THAN ANY THE UNITED STATES HAS HAD.

    SOLID FUEL MOTORS OF THIS IMMENSE SIZE ARE BEING STUDIED BY THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE AND THE NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION (NASA) FOR POSSIBLE USE IN FUTURE SPACE MISSIONS.
