Background: The flight left Mehrabad Airport at 1500 Local Time and was in the air for one hour. The passengers were all Embassy and airport officials. Originally the flight was to have been for the Shah and high ranking government officials but due to sickness the Shah was unable to fly. Another flight has been arranged for him on the 4th March.
