    The Scottish racing driver, Jim Clark, today won the International 100 from Jack Brabham at Warwick Farm, near Sydney Clark, driving a Lotus 35-Climax, did the 45 laps in a little over 71 minutes, about one minute better than Brabham in his Repco-Brabham-Climax.Australia's biggest motor race got away to a good start at the Warwick Farm circuit.The lead was taken immediately by Graham Hill in a Brabham.Hill was one of four world champion drivers in the event.The others were Jim Clark, American Phil Hill and Brabham.

    A huge crowd jammed the roads to the circuit voth before and after the event.The race itself was mostly uneventful, with Hill holding the lead from Jim Clark for almost the whole of the 100-mile race.Jack Brabham of Australia was content to lie in fourth position.

    At 25-laps Hill still led from Clark and the local driver, & Frank Matich.Clark, in a Lotus, was one of the few drivers in a car not designed by Brabham.Clark was already leading in the Tasman series of motor races until the Warwick Farm event, which was to further increase his lead.He has won the world championship twice, driving for Lotus.

    Hill spun out, handing the lead to Clark, The Scotsmen held his advantage, winning by a minute from Brabham with Matich third.The winner's average speed was about 85-miles an hour.
