    More than 15-thousand people chanted their way through the streets of Deber Zait in Ethiopia on Monday (24 February) to show support for the Government's stand against the secessionists in Eritrea. The demonstrators also accused foreign nations of supporting the rebels.

    The protest drew support from all walks of life, Students, government employees and professional men walked side by side through the town to a square in the centre where they heard speeches condemning foreign aid to the Eritrean revels.

    The Ethiopian military government has accused Syria, Libya and other Arab nations of interfering in Ethiopian affairs by supplying arms and money to the Eritrean Liberation Front.

    Many demonstrators said they would join the army after the rally to fight against the secessionists.
