    Canada's world amateur hockey champs, the Whitby Dunlops, are given a rousing welcome at Saint John, New Brunswick following nine weeks of European hockey victories. As they file down the gangway, team numbers are greeted by New Brunswick's premier Hugh John Fleming and Mayor Macauley of Saint John.....

    At dockside, Mayor Macauley reads a telegram of welcome from Prime Minister Diefenbaker -- to the accompaniment of band music...... Hundreds of colourful placards were made up for the occasion and were later given to the players in exchange for autographs. A motorcad carried the team to the centre of the city where team manager Wren Blair introduced each member of the club.....
