    Pakistan has agreed to accept 25,000 non-Bengali refugees from Bangladesh who've been living in overcrowded camps ever since the independence war five year ago. Many of them are in the Mohammedpur refugees camp on the outskirts of the capital of Dacca.

    SYNOPSIS: The camp dwellers at Mohammedpur have been continuing problem for both the government of Bangladesh and Pakistan.

    The refugees who are non-Bengalis wanted to move to move to Pakistan soon after Bangladesh became independent in 1971. Since then as many as 125,000 non-Bengalis have been airlifted from Dacca to Pakistan. But still up to 400,000 have yet to be re-settled.

    So until their future is decided the Bangladesh government have set up these camps where the refugees live in overcrowded and unhygienic conditions. Bangladesh has denied responsibility for these destitute families on the grounds that they chose to be Pakistanis. Pakistan says they are not welcome as they have already taken enough...and that they don't have any relations in Pakistan.

    For the remaining refugees, the future is extremely uncertain..
