Dr. Rainer Barzel, leader of the German Christian Democratic Party, has arrived in Poland for an official visit. He's in Poland to state his opposition party's views on his country's relations with Poland.
The German Christian Democratic Party has criticised the new Polish-West German treaty which acknowledges the present administrative boundaries of Poland and Germany. But the party has not completely rejected the treaty. Dr. Barzel has had talks with Dr. Adam Willmann and with Mr. Jozef Winiewicz, one of the negotiators of the new treaty. During his visit Dr. Barzel will also meet the new Polish leaders, Mr. Edward Gierek, the Communist Party chief, and Mr. Piotr Jaroszewicz, the Prime Minister.
