Background: An exhibition of Russian toys in Moscow - from the 18th century to the present day. The oldest toys on view are made of moss, straw and pine cones - materials used in those days by toymakers.
There are clay figures too from Dimkovo village and others fashioned by the craftsmen of Tula. Some toys are of wood. And there are toys in motion like the Blacksmith and the Shoemaker.
