    THE NEW STATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL MEDIUM WAVE TRANSMITTER IN SOUTH VIETNAM.

    AT THE CEREMONY WERE MR. W.H. FIPPIN ACTING DIRECTOR OF USOM WHICH HELPED GREATLY TOWARDS THE INSTALLATION OF THE TRANS-MITTER AND THE DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR PLANNING AND INFORMATION DR. TRAN VAN THO.

    DR. TRAN CUT THE RIBBON AT THE BUILDING IN WHICH THE TRANS-MITTERS WERE INSTALLED.

    THE NEW TRANSMITTER WILL HELP PEOPLE ALL OVER SOUTH VIETNAM, AND EVEN THOSE IN PHILIPPINES AND OTHER SURROUNDING COUNTRIES HEAR THE VIETNAM NATIONAL BROADCASTING.

    TILL NOW, BECAUSE OF LACK OF POWER OF TRANSMITTER, BROAD-CASTS OF VIETNAMESE RADIO BROADCASTS COULD NOT SOMETIMES BE HEARD EVEN IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTRY LIKE HUE.
